Autumn weddings are my absolute favourite, and especially when they are at Millbridge Court, where I have been a recommended partner for a number of years now. This Autumn, it was Daisy and James’ turn to celebrate their marriage there, and what an absolutely brilliant day it was.
It was heavily raining when I first arrived however this makes no difference when you celebrate a wedding at Millbridge; with such glorious interiors and great inside space, it’s a perfect venue for a winter or rainy wedding day.
I began with James and his groomsmen who were getting ready in the lodge (with a few beers!) before heading to the bridal suite to photograph Daisy and the girls getting ready. All I can say is, be prepared for Daisy’s dress! It was so unique and incredibly sparkly. Daisy told me that it was the ‘joke dress’ she tried on in the shop, but fell in love instantly, and it was clear to see why. She looked amazing (and left a trail of glimmer everywhere she went!)
Daisy and James’ ceremony was beautiful, with some fun noises from their son Cooper that made everyone giggle and they kissed to the loudest applause! Guest then enjoyed delicious canapes by Kalm Kitchen during the drinks reception and we were lucky to have a little break in the weather to capture some portraits outside.
After dinner, came the speeches and there was not a dry eye nor laugh-crinkled noses in the house – some brilliant speeches including an unplanned one from the Bride.
Guests watched Daisy and James cut their cake before making their way to the dance floor, including their baby boy Cooper.
A wonderful day; Congratulations again guys! x
