Lexi and James celebrated their wedding with an effortlessly elegant at-home celebration in the Hertfordshire countryside. A refined fusion of family tradition and relaxed luxury.

The day began with a meaningful church ceremony, where Lexi and James exchanged vows surrounded by loved ones. The entrance was beautifully framed by a deconstructed arch by Lavender Green Flowers, featuring soft blue and pink tones that echoed the romantic palette of the day.

Lexi looked breathtaking in a satin gown with a full skirt and bandeau neckline. A delicate cathedral-length veil embroidered with tiny cherry blossoms trailed behind her, adding softness and detail that moved beautifully throughout the day. Her bridesmaids wore pale blue halter-neck dresses that complemented the floral styling perfectly.

After the ceremony, guests returned to the bride’s family home where the garden had been completely transformed. A striking marquee by Peacock & Bow stood proudly on the grounds, with a second deconstructed arch greeting guests at the entrance. Inside, the design was both thoughtful and elevated. Pastel florals filled the space with texture and softness, enhanced by warm lighting from Glo Productions and refined, seasonal tablescapes.

During the drinks reception, 8Ray played a moving acoustic set as guests sipped champagne and enjoyed canapés. It created such a relaxed, joyful atmosphere. Around this time, Lexi and James hopped in the car with me for a quiet moment away. We wandered through nearby greenery, long grasses and towering trees, past an old stone wall. A peaceful, beautiful pocket of nature that gave space for connection and some of my favourite portraits of the day.

Lettice Events served an indulgent wedding breakfast, followed by heartfelt speeches. After the speeches, a trio of cocktails was wheeled around the marquee for guests to help themselves, adding a fun and lively touch to the celebrations. The evening continued with a packed dance floor thanks to 8Ray’s incredible live music. For the evening party, Lexi changed into a chic short dress, perfect for dancing the night away with style and ease.

The celebrations continued the next day with relaxed Sunday catering by Blistering BBQs, the perfect end to a beautifully personal weekend.
