Shelly and Matthias’s wedding at Ashridge House was the epitome of understated luxury. Set against the grandeur of this historic Hertfordshire stately home, their day unfolded with an intimate, elegant charm that perfectly complemented the gentle light of late September.

The couple were joined by their closest friends and family, many of whom travelled to the UK to celebrate. The morning was filled with calm excitement as Shelly prepared in an off-the-shoulder lace gown paired with Jimmy Choo heels and bag. Her hair was softly waved and styled down, with natural, glowing makeup by Adie Hair and Makeup. Her bridesmaids wore sophisticated latte satin dresses, creating a timeless and cohesive bridal party look.

The ceremony took place in Ashridge House’s beautiful chapel, a breathtaking setting for an intimate “I do.” One of the day’s most joyful moments came as the couple walked back down the aisle to a flurry of confetti – pure happiness radiating through every frame. Both Shelly and Matthias carried small photo charms with them, tucked into her bouquet and his jacket, as a heartfelt nod to their sweet dog who couldn’t be there.

Guests were welcomed into the grand reception room for dinner, where elegant tablescapes featured champagne-hued linens, marble details, and exquisite gold-adorned ceilings. Natural, romantic florals by Polly and Petal added softness, with a beautiful mix of high and low arrangements. Speeches were heartfelt and humorous, followed by a tea, coffee, and sweet station for guests to enjoy before the grand cake cutting on the sweeping staircase.

As the evening began, the dancefloor opened alongside The Drunken Jockey’s cocktail bar, and to Shelly’s complete surprise, Matthias ended the night with a spectacular fireworks display — the perfect finale to an unforgettable day.
