Congratulations to the wonderful Hebe and Peter who had the most beautiful and quintessentially classic English wedding at Chiswick House & Gardens.
The morning began at Hebe’s childhood family home where her family and her bridesmaids were also getting ready. Hebe chose a classic Sassi Holford dress and looked absolutely stunning. After a few garden portraits we headed to Hebe and Peter’s London home (which funnily enough used to be the home of Agatha Christie) where everyone enojed some champagne and relaxed before heading to the Church.
At the Church in Chelsea, Peter was welcoming guests as they were arriving for the ceremony. Peter and his groomsmen looked impeccable in their classic morning suits. Hebe and Peter’s ceremony was really lovely, featuring many hymn firm favourites including Jerusalem and Lord of The Dance. The couple walked down the aisle to Top Gun (excellent choice!) and walked out to a flurry of confetti! They then hopped into the most gorgeous classic car that had belonged to Peter’s Father and drove away to Chiswick while guests waved them off and begun to board private London Buses.
Once at Chiswick, we began taking some lovely couple portraits while we waited for the guests to arrive into the courtyard at the front of Chiswick House for champagne and cream tea canapes.
Guests were treated to a sunny outdoor speech from Hebe’s Father before heading into the marquee for a delicious wedding breakfast. Tables were adorned with stunning florals by Mary Jane Vaughan which also featured hand made paper flowers hand made by guests Sara and Hilli from the pages of classic novels; reading and books being an important part of the styling for the couple’s day. The speeches that followed were absolutely amazing, from the bride, groom and best men. They were fabulously written and perfectly delivered; everyone was smiling throughout, laughing or crying. The best full collection of speeches that I have had the pleasure to listen to, to date. Bravo all!
After dinner, Hebe and Peter took to the dance floor to perform a brilliant fast pace first dance before their guests were called in to join them for the rest of the evening.
Congratulations again to Hebe and Peter, and thank you for including me in your special day.
