My last wedding of 2024 was with the lovely Lara and Andy, who celebrated their wedding in a marquee on their parent’s farm in Dorset. What a day! Most of the UK was forecast torrential rain and storms but this beautiful little part of the English Countryside seemed to have it’s own micro climate that day and we had glorious sunshine and a golden sunset!

My morning began at a lodge built on the family’s land where Lara and her girls were getting ready and dancing to The Wurzels! Lara wore the most elegent Sassi Holford dress with some simply court shoes that she styled up with some stunning bow clips from Emmy London.  Her bridesmaids looked stunning and a pastel blue Ghost dresses.

The bridal party travelled to the church in a Livestock trailer pulled by a tractor and Lara and her Dad were driven in the most incredible vintage army jeep from the war.

Lara and Andy were married at St Andrews Church in Trent in a lovely traditional ceremony, and then marched out of the Church in their own way, under an arch of farming pitchforks and SO much confetti!

We drove off once again in the army jeep for some bubbly before returning to the farm and wedding marquee where the couple walked up through some coloured smoke flares. The sun shone down and the couple and their guests enjoyed drinks served at the straw bale bar and delicious canapes by Kalm Kitchen who wore personalised aprons.

After some very fun couple portraits which involved running bare foot through cow fields, and close encounters with sheep and cows, the couple danced into a roaring, napkin waving, cheering marquee full of their loved ones, before settling in for some delicious food.

Speeches were golden, with an excellent mini movie put together by the Groom and some secret helpers! The bride and her bridesmaids all changed into light-up trainers and everyone hit the dance floor under a gigantic disco ball to the tunes of Truly Medley Deeply.

An absolutely incredible day, that was truly personal and bespoke to Lara and Andy. I loved every second of it, thank you for having me!!
