Molly and Ben’s Chelsea wedding was the definition of chic simplicity. A day that flowed with warmth, intimacy, and understated elegance from start to finish. With just their closest friends and family present, they celebrated their marriage with a relaxed city ceremony, champagne under soft glows of glass and greenery, and a candlelit dinner.
I met the couple before their ceremony to capture some portraits in the early summer drizzle, and there was something so timeless about those umbrella-covered shots against the soft Chelsea backdrop. With brollies in hand and nerves gently buzzing, the atmosphere was already full of love and anticipation.
Their ceremony took place at Chelsea Town Hall, a London classic. After officially becoming husband and wife, we took a slow wander around the beautiful Chelsea streets for more couple portraits, this time under dry skies. The contrast between the morning rain and the later calm made for a dreamy mix of moods and moments.
Guests then made their way down the iconic King’s Road, weaving through Chelsea’s charm en route to Manicomio, where champagne and antipasti-style canapés awaited in The Conservatory. Chandeliers were decorated with hundreds of photos of the couple’s life together. A polaroid camera guestbook made its rounds, adding playful snapshots to the couple’s keepsakes. It felt like the kind of celebration where everyone truly exhaled – a space to be present, laugh, and soak in every moment.
Their cake by Lily Vanilli was a gorgeous, berry-topped centrepiece, and rather fittingly, Molly and Ben shared strawberries from the top tier after their cake cutting (though a few little hands beat them to it!). It was one of those sweet, slightly cheeky moments that perfectly matched the tone of the day.
As the evening settled in, guests were seated for an intimate, candlelit dinner. Speeches were heartfelt and personal, delivered by Molly and Ben together, the bride’s mother Beverly, and partner, Mike.
Molly wore a relaxed, bohemian-style gown by Rembo Styling from Angelica Bridal, paired with Rainbow Club heels and jewellery from Tom Foolery, while Ben’s wedding ring was handcrafted by the bride herself. One of those meaningful, quietly powerful details that made their day feel entirely their own.
The flowers, designed by Lavender Green, added a soft, romantic feel throughout. Subtle but so beautifully done, they complemented the setting without ever overpowering it.
From rainy morning portraits to that golden candlelight glow, Molly and Ben’s wedding was a perfect reflection of what a micro wedding can be. Full of joy, style, and sentiment.
Thank you so much for having me, and Congratulations again.
