Brookfield Barn is a gorgeous venue nested in the heart of Sussex, and it also became the cosy backdrop for Harriet & Dan’s October wedding at the weekend.

We were typically blessed with an all day downpour of rain, with gorgeous sunny weather either side of the day but that being said, the rain did not stop our fun. As I say to every bride, your day will be what it is and the weather will do it’s thing. If you end up with rain, snow or sun, it won’t impact on what you are all there for and the fun that you will have. You will always look back at your day and think it was perfect, rain and all.

So, back to this gorgeous autumnal wedding with berry shades, mini pumpkins and 2 DRESSES!!

The couple said their I do’s in an intimate in-door ceremony within the barn, with many fairy and festoon lights hanging overhead and the gentle whisper of a harp.

Due to the rain, their guests enjoyed much champagne and canapés inside the gorgeous and bright spaces within the venue itself, and the bridal party braved the rain with me for some gorgeous outdoor photos!

Yes that’s right, I did say 2 wedding dresses earlier didn’t I! The first stunning lace dress by Enzoani and the second ‘Megan Markle-esque’ design by Alison Clark Couture. Harriet looks so beautiful in both, and it must have felt so lovely to wear 2 very different dress styles on her wedding day! Her guests were very surprised and excited to see dress number 2 as well, which made it’s grand entrance when the couple were announced onto the dance floor for their first dance.
